For Beginners of Haneda Airport: Haneda Domestic Airport

What is difference Domestic Terminal 1 and 2 of Haneda Airport?

Haneda Airport has Terminal 1and Terminal 2 as domestic terminals. The airline companies are different for each terminal.

Terminal 1 is for JAL, JTA, Skymark, etc.

Terminal 2 is for ANA, AIR DO, Solaseed Air, etc.

Both terminals have plentiful restaurants and souvenior shops. So, you don’t get bored. Some shops sell lunch boxes called Sora-ben (空弁 meaning is Sky and a lunch box) to have a lunch in an airplane.

FYI:
Some “Limited” are expressed “限定” (pronunciation :げんてい ge-n-te-i) in Japanese.
If you are looking for something limited such as “seasonal limited”, “Tokyo limited”, etc. You should find the letters “限定” .
e.g.
Seasonal Limited→季節限定(きせつげんてい ki-se-tsu-ge-n-te-i)
Tokyo Limited→東京限定(とうきょうげんていTokyo ge-n-te-i) etc.

Two types of buses are running.
Bounding for Domestic Terminal and for International Terminal.

The bus for Domestic Terminal is round trip. It runs between terminal 1 and 2.

The bus for International Terminal moves among Terminal 1, Terminal 2 and International Terminal.

Both buses stop at same bus stop.

Transportation to International Terminal

I also recommed a free shuttle bus ( The bus stop for international terminal and domestic terminals are same).

Observation Deck

You can see landing/ departing airplanes  from the observation decks.

I tried to take the photo but it is not nice.

 I should need more practice.

The deck was quite windy. So, it might be good to bring a jacket (especially, in winter)

Domestic Terminal and International Terminal in Haneda Airport are quite fun ♪ I can enjoy all day. I was unable to go to all of places, so, I guess I need a day for one terminal. I can enjoy without taking an airplane.
